Although our cleaning solution is safe, we take some extra steps to ensure no damage occurs when plants and vegetation are present. We thoroughly pre wet them prior to cleaning, to soak the roots with water so they’re already “full” before we begin. We rinse them off again upon completion as an extra precaution.
Our detergent is mostly water with a small amount of sodium hypochlorite (pool chlorine/bleach) to clean and disinfect for removal of mildew. The ratio is 80% water, only 15% active ingredient and 5% a neutral thickening soap to keep it on the house surface - as opposed to excessively running onto the ground. Once this is applied with a low pressure washing, it’s then rinsed off thoroughly using even more purely plain water to further dilute any minimal remaining soap. At this point in the cleaning there’s no active soap remaining, and even if there were, it is completely inert once dry, roughly 1-2 hours after completion.
